HOME IS A FEELING

And we've spent over a decade learning exactly how to build it.

Our story started with my
grandparents' home.

Matt and I (Erin) met in 2008, and after graduating in 2014, we moved in. The house was slightly dilapidated and full of more work than most people would have signed up for. We got to work anyway, and somewhere between the demo and the details, something clicked into place. We realized this was what we were meant to do together.

My dad owned a local Civil Engineering company, and always wanted one of his five children to “take over the family business.” I had always said no because I didn’t think math was my strong suit, and I didn’t want to work in the construction industry. Destiny is a funny thing. We make plans, and God laughs.

In 2015, with no business plans, backup plans, and not yet married, we took a leap of faith. We were too naive to be fearful, and we grew slowly and intentionally from ground zero, funded by ICU travel nursing, consistency, and hustle.

We celebrated a decade in business in 2025, and we are still just getting started.

A bathroom with large beige tile flooring, a white bathtub with gold fixtures under a window with white blinds, and a small alcove with brick interior and arch, next to a closed grey door with gold handle.
A kitchen counter with a black stovetop, white cabinets with gold handles, a marble backsplash, a small white bowl with a pestle, a brass wall-mounted lamp, and a framed botanical illustration of a plant.
A modern bathroom with a walk-in shower with herringbone gray tile, a clawfoot bathtub, a chandelier, and white plantation shutters on the windows.

What I imagine Matt builds, and what Matt builds lasts.

Matt has been building since he was old enough to hold a hammer. He grew up working alongside his dad, and by high school had already built an addition of his own. He is a licensed general contractor who runs a job site with standards that don't bend, even when a deadline is close.

I came to design through construction. A decade of job site experience taught me that you cannot truly understand design without understanding how a space is built. My aesthetic signature is transitional and deeply organic, drawn to handmade tile and natural stone, to living finishes that develop character the longer they're touched and materials that get better with age.

YOUR HOME SHOULD TELL YOUR STORY

the real, layered, lived-in version of it, built by people who understand that quality always outlasts the lowest bid and that a contract is the beginning of a relationship, not the end of one.
